The foundation has ownership rights over the Plone codebase, trademarks and domain names. Even though the foundation was set up to protect ownership rights, Plone remains open source.

Schools Plone theme can contain carousel banners(s) on the front page. Changeable set of rotating banners can be added to the School’s front page with the help of Products. Carousel that is installed automatically with quintagroup theme school. Banner images rotate every several seconds; besides site visitors can browse any of them by covering the corresponding pager.

To create a banner on the front page –go to the ‘configure banners’ menu in the task bar. Set carousel options and select ‘carousel banner’ from ‘add new…’ drop down menu.

Drupal became an open source project in 2001. Drupal is an English rendering of the Dutch word druppel means drop (as in a water droplet). The name was taken from the now-defunct Drop.org website, whose code slowly evolved in to drupal. Buytaert wanted to call the site drop for its community aspects, but mistyped it when checking the domain name and the thought the error signed better. A community now helps develop Drupal and Drupal’s popularity is growing rapidly in the community.
